<p>The customer care department of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) received a hoax threat call in Maharashtra at around 11 am on Saturday. The Mumbai Police has registered a case regarding the same and a probe is underway. The call came on the helpline number on Saturday and the caller threatened to blow up the RBI with a bomb, NDTV reported citing sources.</p>
<p>The caller said he was the “CEO” of the Lashkar-e-Taiba terror group and sang a song over the phone before issuing the threat. Actors Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan also received extortion calls recently.</p>
<p>On November 14, a flight from Nagpur to Kolkata had to make an emergency landing at Raipur airport in Chhattisgarh following a bomb threat. The plane was taken to an isolated bay at the airport for checks. An investigation is underway.</p>
<p>Soon after the aircraft made the emergency landing at Raipur airport, the flyers were evacuated and the plane was searched thoroughly. The entire operation took about 40 minutes.</p>
<p>A passenger was detained after the incident. According to the primary information, aircraft crew members were informed by a passenger about the bomb when the flight was mid-air.</p>
