Indian-origin man fined for cussing at police officers, doctor in Singapore

<p> Singapore, Sep 19 (PTI): An Indian-origin man was fined SGD7,000 for having hurled vulgarities at a security officer, police officers, and a doctor who was treating him at a hospital.</p><p> Mohanarajan Mohan, 30, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to two charges under the Protection from Harassment Act, as reported by The Straits Times.</p><p> State Prosecuting Officer A Majeed Yosuff said that on April 14, Mohanarajan was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital in an unconscious state.</p><p> As he was being examined by a doctor at the hospitals accident and emergency (A&E) department, he woke up.</p><p> The prosecutor said Mohanarajan, who was drunk, insisted on being discharged and began verbally abusing the doctor and the staff.</p><p>… Read More »Indian-origin man fined for cussing at police officers, doctor in Singapore

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a new moon mission “Chandrayaan-4” to develop and demonstrate technologies needed for landing of Indian astronauts on the moon and safely bring them back to Earth. Chandrayaan-4 mission will achieve the foundational technologies for the landing of Indian astronauts on the moon (planned by year 2040) and return safely back to Earth, a statement said. “Major technologies that are required for docking/undocking, landing, safe return to earth and also accomplish lunar sample collection and analysis would be demonstrated,” it said. The total fund requirement for the technology demonstration mission “Chandrayaan-4” is Rs 2,104.06 crore, the statement said. ISRO will be responsible for the development of spacecraft and launch. Workers At Musk’s Tesla, SpaceX Donate To Harris While He Backs Trump

Billionaire Elon Musk has endorsed Republican former President Donald Trump in the race for the White House, but employees at his collection of companies are largely donating to Trump’s Democratic rival Kamala Harris. Workers at Tesla have contributed $42,824 to Harris’ presidential campaign versus $24,840 to Trump’s campaign, according to OpenSecrets, a nonpartisan nonprofit that tracks U.S. campaign contributions and lobbying data. Employees at Musk’s rocket company SpaceX have donated $34,526 to Harris versus $7,652 to Trump. Employees at the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, have donated $13,213 to Harris versus less than $500 to Trump.
