Elections 2024: Campaigning for 1st Phase of Jharkhand Election Ends Today | ABP News

<p>The election campaign for the first phase of the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly elections will end today for 43 constituencies. Voting will take place on November 13 from 7 AM to 5 PM, with some booths closing earlier at 4 PM. A total of 683 candidates are contesting, including 334 independents and 87 from national parties. Prominent candidates include former CM Champai Soren and several current ministers. “Our Ancestors Did Jihad Against British”: Asaduddin Owaisi Targets BJP

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has targeted Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis over his “vote jihad” remarks, claiming the BJP leader’s (ideological) ancestors wrote “love letters” to the British instead of fighting against them. Kashmir Police have asked trekkers to inform police in advance about their routes after two trekkers were caught in an encounter between terrorists and security forces at Zabarwan near Srinagar yesterday. <p>A search operation continued in the dense forests of Keshwan and adjoining areas in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district for the fourth day on Monday, a day after an Army officer was killed in a gunfight with terrorists.</p> <p>The security personnel have been scouring the forest area for over four days, looking for the terrorists who abducted and killed two Village Defence Guards (VDGs) last Thursday.
