Shimla Court Orders Demolition Of 3 Floors Of Disputed Mosque

A court in Himachal Pradesh today ordered the demolition of three floors of a disputed mosque in Shimla. The Shimla Municipal Commissioner Court has given two months to the Masjid committee and Waqf Board to complete the demolition process of the Sanjauli mosque. The conflict arose after several sections deemed the mosque illegal and subsequent protests by some Hindu organisations. The next hearing is on December 21. Congress To Win Haryana, May Miss Majority In J&K: Poll Of Exit Polls

The Congress is likely to form the next government in Haryana, ending the 10-year run of the BJP and its alliance with National Conference may stay ahead in the race for Jammu and Kashmir, which could delivered a fractured mandate.   An aggregate of four exit polls indicate that the Congress will win 55 of Haryana’s 90 seats.  In Jammu and Kashmir, which also has 90 seats after delimitation, the Congress-National Conference alliance is likely to win 43 seats — three less than the majority mark of 46.  Exit polls, though, can often get it wrong. 

Big Win For Congress In Haryana, Show Early Exit Polls

The Congress is poised to win and win big in Haryana, a state ruled by the BJP for the last decade, show four exit polls. The exit polls do not always get it right. They have been way off the mark in the past. The most recent example being the Lok Sabha polls where they went horribly off target. Dainik Bhaskar predicts 44-54 seats for the Congress in the 90-member state assembly, a huge jump from the 31 seats it won the last time.
