The CSIR-UGC-NET June 2024 exam results are expected to be announced by October 15, 2024. IndiGo Airlines is facing a major technical glitch and there have been reports of long queues at airport check-in counters as well as difficulties booking tickets.  The problems began around 12.30 pm on Saturday and, around an hour later, the airline confirmed that it is experiencing a “temporary system slowdown” across its network. It warned that passengers may face increased wait times, including longer queues at airports. 

A girl who had left home to attend a coaching class has been allegedly kidnapped and murdered in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district, sparking anger and protests. A police camp has also been vandalised and set on fire. While a post-mortem report is awaited, the BJP has claimed it was a case of rape and murder and hit out at the Trinamool Congress-led government in the state. Correctional home authorities in West Bengal have planned to serve mutton biryani, ‘basanti pulao’ and several other Bengali cuisines as a change on the menu for inmates during the ensuing Durga puja to ensure that they do not feel left out of the festivities, an official said on Saturday. The changed menu for inmates – both convicts and undertrials – for lunch and dinner would be effective from Sasthi (October 9) to Dashami (October 12), covering the beginning and end of Durga puja, he said. “We get requests from inmates for better food during every festival.
