Iran Threatens Of “Even Stronger” Retaliation To Any Israeli Attack

Tehran’s top diplomat in Damascus on Saturday threatened an “even stronger” reaction to any aggression, as Israel readied its response to an Iranian missile attack earlier this week. “Our reaction to any attack by the Zionist regime is completely clear,” Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told reporters in the Syrian capital, where he met top officials including Tehran’s ally President Bashar al-Assad. “For every action, there will be a proportional and similar reaction from Iran, and even stronger,” he said. Idea Of Simultaneous Polls Not Against Constitution, Says Ram Nath Kovind

Former president Ram Nath Kovind, who headed a panel on ‘one nation, one election,’ on Saturday said the idea of simultaneous polls was perceived by the framers of the Constitution and therefore it cannot be unconstitutional. Ram Nath Kovind also said an “implementation committee” will look into the various constitutional amendments required to implement the concept, and it would then be up to parliament to take a final call. Agniveer, 24, Killed In Fire Extinguisher Blast During Mock Drill In Rajasthan

A 24-year-old Agniveer died due to an explosion in a fire extinguisher during a mock drill in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur, police said Saturday. During a mock drill in a training camp of Golpura Army Area on Friday, a fire extinguisher exploded and Agniveer Saurabh Pal got injured, DSP Anil Jasoria said. Pal, a resident of Bhakhara village in Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj, succumbed during treatment at a hospital, he said. His father Rakesh Pal was informed about the incident and the body was handed over to the family today, the officer said. Pal had joined the Indian Army under the Agniveer scheme in 2023.
