<p>The Supreme Court has expressed strong displeasure towards the Punjab and Haryana governments regarding air pollution caused by stubble burning. The court criticized the lack of stringent action against those burning stubble, indicating its frustration over insufficient measures taken by the state governments. In a stern directive, the Supreme Court summoned the Chief Secretaries of both Punjab and Haryana, requiring them to appear on October 23. The court also ordered the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) to initiate legal action against responsible officials. This development highlights the increasing concern over air quality issues in the region, particularly during the stubble burning season, as both states grapple with pollution levels.</p>
