The influential Washington Post newspaper, owned by Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos, announced Friday it will endorse neither Democrat Kamala Harris nor Republican Donald Trump in the US presidential election. CEO William Lewis said this was a return “to our roots of not endorsing presidential candidates.” However, the Post editorial board has endorsed candidates for much of the last four decades — all of them Democrats — before deciding to stay on the sidelines in one of the most polarizing elections in US history. Newspaper editorials have little of their once-powerful political heft. Chinese Hackers Targeted Phones Of Trump And His Mate JD Vance: Report

Chinese hackers have targeted phones used by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his running mate J.D. Vance, US media reported Friday. The New York Times, quoting people familiar with the matter, said the hacking attempt appeared to be part of a wide-ranging intelligence collection effort by Chinese hackers. The newspaper said it involved the infiltration of Verizon phone systems and investigators were seeking to determine whether any communications data was taken. A person familiar with the matter said the campaign of Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz was also targeted. US, Japan and S Korea join hands to support digital infrastructure in India

<p>Washington, Oct 26 (PTI): India’s economic policies are rooted in inclusive growth and social empowerment, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said Friday, telling the global financial leaders that India is committed to global collaboration even as it pursues its long-term vision of becoming a high-income economy by 2047.</p><p>“As India pursues its long-term vision of becoming a high-income economy by 2047, it remains committed to global collaboration.
