For the first time, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) would provide compensation to two parties claiming the same plots of land to undertake the construction work of a four-lane highway between Vairengte and Sairang in Mizoram, officials said here on Sunday. A Mizoram government official said that the breakthrough of the long pending compensation dispute issue was achieved during a meeting between the Chief Minister and Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in Delhi last week. Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena fielded Rajya Sabha MP Milind Deora against Sena (UBT) nominee Aaditya Thackeray from Worli. BJP MP Tejasvi Surya completed the Ironman 70.3 challenge today. The triathlon challenge that was held in Goa comprised 1.9 km of swimming, 90 km of cycling, and 21.1 km of running with the participants travelling up to 113 kilometres (or 70.3 miles) during the whole event. With the feat, the 33-year-old became the first parliamentarian to participate in the event.
