The University of Delhi (DU) has released the fourth cut-off list for admissions to BA and BCom programmes under the Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) for 2024. Registration process for NCWEB for 2024 will begin from September 20 and continue till September 21, 2024. Eligible students can check details of the cut-off percentage available on the official website of the DU. The cut off marks is available for the fourth admission list at which admissions to above courses will be offered by different centres of the Board. Five men were arrested in Tamil Nadu’s Sivaganga district on Thursday for allegedly gang-raping a woman, police said. Investigators say the woman’s male friend was first attacked by two men when the couple was at a farm on Tuesday. Later, at least three other men joined and sexually assaulted the woman. The couple did not inform the police about the sexual violence initially. The man who had sustained minor injuries had only registered a mobile snatching complaint against the gang. It was during interrogation police learnt about the rape. The Supreme Court today sought a report from the Karnataka High Court over controversial remarks made by Justice Vedavyasachar Srishananda during a recent court hearing. <p>Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has claimed that a key ingredient used to prepare the laddus given as ‘prasadam’ in the revered Sri Venkateswara temple contains animal fats and fish oil. He alleged that animal fat was used instead of ghee to make the ‘prasadam’ when his predecessor Jagan Mohan Reddy was the Chief Minister.
