In recent years India has witnessed a sharp increase in the number of cybercrime cases. Cybercriminals find innovative ways to scam people out of their hard-earned money. However, in an unexpected turn of events in Kerala, a scammer posing as a police officer received the shock of his life when his victim turned out to be a real cop. Jagdish Singh Patani, retired deputy SP and father of actor Disha Patani, was allegedly defrauded of Rs 25 lakh by a group of five individuals who promised him a high-ranking position in a government commission, police here said on Friday. An FIR was registered at Bareilly Kotwali police station on Friday evening. Scary footage has emerged from a Miami-bound Scandinavian Airlines flight that had to make a U-turn on Thursday (Nov 14) and return to Europe after encountering severe turbulence over Greenland. US Returns Over 1,400 Looted Artefacts Worth $10 Million To India

As part of an ongoing initiative to repatriate stolen art from countries across South and Southeast Asia, the United States on Wednesday announced that it has returned more than 1,400 looted artefacts worth $10 million to India. According to CNN, the recovered trafficked goods include items that were recently on view at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
