Congress Suspends 7 More Rebel Candidates Ahead Of Maharashtra Polls

The Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) on Sunday night intensified disciplinary actions by suspending seven additional rebel candidates for anti-party activities ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. The newly suspended leaders include — Shamkant Saner, Rajendra Thakur, Aba Bagul, Manish Anand, Suresh Kumar Jethliya, Kalyan Borade, and Chandrapaul Chauksey. Earlier in the day, the MPCC suspended 21 other rebels, bringing the total number of suspensions to 28 across 22 constituencies. Even Ganga’s Originating Point Is Polluted, Green Tribunal Told

The National Green Tribunal has been informed that according to an Uttarakhand government’s report on pollution in Ganga, even the “originating point” of the pious river is polluted by sewage treatment plant (STP) discharge. The submission was made during the proceedings about the prevention and control of pollution in Ganga in Uttarakhand. The tribunal had earlier sought a report from the state and others. Condemn Death Threats By Ceasefire-Linked Kuki Insurgents, Says Thadou Tribe Body

A global body of the Thadou tribe from Manipur has condemned what it called death threats allegedly made by a Kuki insurgent group that had signed a ceasefire deal with the Centre and the state government. Man Shoots Lover’s Father For Sending Her Abroad To Break Their Relationship

A youth in Hyderabad on Sunday opened fire on the father of his girlfriend for sending her away to the U.S to break their relationship. The incident occurred in Venkateswara Colony under the limits of Saroornagar police station of Rachakonda Commissionerate. The bullet hit the eye of Revanth Anand (57) when Balwinder Singh (25) opened fire with an airgun following an argument. According to police, Balwinder was in friendship with the 23-year-old daughter of Anand, a businessman, for the last few years.
