UK-Based DNA Company With Russian Link Vanishes With Highly-Sensitive Data

A DNA-testing company with alleged Russian links has vanished with highly sensitive data of its customers, according to a BBC report. The firm called Atlas Biomed, which has offices in London, used to provide insights into the genetic makeup of its customers as well as their predisposition to certain illnesses. But the company appears to have gone off-grid with customers left in the dark and worried about the security of their data which includes biometrics. However, the driver turned out to be an impersonator who attempted to extort money from her. Thankfully, she quickly sought help and narrowly escaped the potentially dangerous situation. Thousands Protest In Spain Over Handling Of Deadly Floods

Tens of thousands of people demonstrated in the eastern Spanish city of Valencia on Saturday over regional authorities’ handling of devastating floods that killed more than 220 people in one of Europe’s worst natural disasters for decades.
