In Shivaji Statue Collapse Case, Lookout Notice Issued For Contractor

Police in Maharashtra’s Sindhudurg district has issued a Look Out Circular against contractor Jaydeep Apte in connection with the collapse of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s statue at Rajkot fort, officials said on Tuesday. An LOC is issued to airports and all other exit points to stop a person from fleeing the country. Mr Apte, a Thane-based sculptor, had executed the contract to make the statue. Man Cites “Live-In Relationship Agreement” To Get Bail In Rape Case

To secure pre-arrest bail in a rape case filed by his partner in Mumbai, a 46-year-old man has produced a “live-in relationship agreement” that he claims states that they would not file any case of sexual harassment against each other. Except, the 29-year-old woman who took him to court told a Mumbai court that the signature on the document was not hers. The woman works as a caregiver for the elderly, while the accused is a government employee, said the police, which is now trying to verify the so-called relationship pact. Rajnath-Led DAC Approves 10 Capital Acquisitions Worth Rs 1.45 Lakh Cr For Future-Ready Combat Vehicles, Radars

<p>The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, has greenlit 10 capital acquisition proposals worth Rs 1.45 lakh crore, aiming to significantly enhance India’s defence capabilities.
