Oxford University Student Committed Suicide Due To ‘Cancel Culture’, Probe Finds

The suicide of a student at Oxford University has led to calls to review the ‘cancel culture’ prevalent in the elite institutions of the UK. Alexander Rogers (20), a third-year studying materials science at Corpus Christi College, took his own life in January earlier this year, after being ‘ostracised’ by his peers, according to a report in The Telegraph. Following two-day inquest proceedings at Oxford Coroner’s Court, coroner Nicholas Graham concluded that the ostracisation “led him to form an intention to take his own life”. Indian Official Meets Taliban Minister, Ex Afghan President Hamid Karzai

In a significant move, an Indian delegation met Afghanistan’s acting Defence Minister Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob and offered the use of Chabahar Port in Iran to businesses in his country, and also discussed extending humanitarian assistance to Kabul. The delegation was led by J P Singh, the Joint Secretary of the Pakistan-Afghanistan-Iran division in the External Affairs Ministry. Income Tax Department Raids Jharkhand Chief Minister’s Close Aide

The Income Tax department is conducting raids at the residence of Sunil Srivastava, allegedly a close aide and personal secretary of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, said sources on Saturday.
