The nominations for the 67th Grammy Awards were announced on Friday, bringing both familiar and new Indian and Indian-origin names to the forefront. Artists like Ricky Kej, Anoushka Shankar, Varijashree Venugopal, Radhika Vekaria, and Chandrika Tandon are among those recognised this year. Ricky Kej, a two-time Grammy winner, earned a nomination in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category for his album Break of Dawn. Pakistan all-rounder Kamran Ghulam opened up about being denied his debut cap ahead of the 1st ODI against Australia in Melbourne earlier this week. Ghulam, who slammed a century on his Test debut last month, featured at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Monday as Pakistan lost the series opener by a narrow margin. Gujarat Family Honours ‘Lucky’ Car With Burial Ceremony, 1,500 People Attend

A farmer’s family in Gujarat’s Amreli district has become the talk of the town after they held a grand burial event for their “lucky” car. Nearly 1,500 people, including seers and spiritual leaders, attended the function organised by Sanjay Polara and his family at Padarshinga village of Lathi taluka on Thursday. A video of the event that went viral on social media shows Polara and his family performing rituals at their farm, where a slope and 15-foot deep pit was dug for their 12-year-old Wagon R. An Iranian man has been charged over an alleged plot by Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) to kill Donald Trump – the United States president-elect who has already survived two attempts on his life. The Republican leader, set to return to the White House this January, was shot in his ear during an assassination attempt in July. The Justice Department termed Farhad Shakeri as an “Iranian asset” who was tasked by the Iranian regime on October 7 to plot Trump’s assassination. 4 Coaches Of Secunderabad-Shalimar Superfast Express Derail Near Howrah

Four coaches of the Secunderabad-Shalimar Superfast Express derailed near Howrah in West Bengal this morning. The weekly special train derailed in Nalpur, about 40 km from Kolkata. The four coaches that derailed also included a parcel van. No casualties or injuries have been reported so far, South Eastern Railway officials have confirmed. Railway officials are on their way to the accident site.
