At least 41 people have been killed in Ukraine’s Poltava after Russia launched two ballistic missiles today, Ukraine President Zelensky said today. Writing on social media website X, President Zelensky said, “I received preliminary reports on the Russian strike in Poltava. According to available information, two ballistic missiles hit the area. They targeted an educational institution and a nearby hospital, partially destroying one of the telecommunications institute’s buildings.” He went on to write that many are feared trapped in the debris. While 41 people were killed, more than 180 others were injured in the attack. Haryana’s Subhan Khan has emerged as a real-life hero after rescuing nine people marooned on a bridge amid raging floods in Telangana. Mr Khan drove a bulldozer to the bridge and returned with the group stuck on it. Nine people were trapped on Prakash Nagar bridge on Munneru river in Telangana’s Khammam district after the rise in water level. They recorded a video, requesting the state government to rescue them. Netflix India has updated the opening disclaimer on its web series ‘IC-814 Kandahar Hijack” to include the real and code names of the hijackers, the OTT giant’s country content chief, Monika Shergill, said Tuesday. “For the benefit of audiences unfamiliar with the 1999 hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814, the opening disclaimer has been updated… the code names in the series reflect those used during the actual event,” Ms Shergill said, acknowledging also that Netflix is “committed to showcasing (stories from India) with authentic representation”.
