How Cops Caught Main Accused In Baba Siddique’s Murder After A Month

Shiv Kumar Gautam, the main accused in the murder case of Maharashtra politician Baba Siddique, was arrested from Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich on Sunday. Sources said he was trying to flee to Nepal. Shiv Kumar, along with two other accused — Gurnail Singh, a resident of Haryana and Dhramraj Kashyap of Uttar Pradesh — shot dead Mr Siddique, 66, outside his politician son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Mumbai on October 12. While Singh and Kashyao were arrested immediately after the attack, Shiv Kumar had managed to flee. Justice Sanjiv Khanna, who took oath as the 51st Chief Justice of the country today, is on the trail of his “missing” ancestral home in Amritsar. The pre-Independence era house was built by his grandfather, Sarav Dayal. Sources close to Chief Justice Khanna revealed that whenever he visits Amritsar, he visits Katra Sher Singh. Justice Sanjiv Khanna Sworn In As 51st Chief Justice Of India

Justice Sanjiv Khanna took over as the 51st Chief Justice of India this morning, succeeding former Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, who retired from the country’s top legal post yesterday. President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to the 64-year-old judge at a ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan. Justice Khanna will serve a six-month term as the Chief Justice of India. He is due to retire on May 13 next year. Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other ministers attended the ceremony.
