IndiGo Flight Tailstrike Leaves Huge Dent During Take-Off, Plane Returns To Airport

An IndiGo aircraft suffered damage in the tail section after it hit the runway in Bengaluru airport, sources said. The IndiGo flight No. 6E 6054 was operating from Delhi to Bengaluru when the incident happened on September 9, sources said. Visuals of the damage to the tail section show several white dents on the blue paint of the aircraft skin, indicating a serious tailstrike. A tailstrike happens when the tail of an aircraft touches the runway during takeoff or landing. This can be dangerous as it can lead to structural damage, especially to the rear pressure bulkhead, the cone-shaped area in an aircraft’s tail that seals the pressurised cabin. No one was injured. 8 Killed, 2,750 Injured After Pager Blasts Across Lebanon, Beirut Blames Israel Behind Explosions

<p>At least eight people were killed and hundreds including fighters and medics of the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah were injured on Tuesday when the pagers they used to communicate exploded across Lebanon, health minister Firass Abiad said. A Hezbollah official called the detonation of the pagers the “biggest security breach” the group had been subjected to in nearly a year of war with Israel, news agency Reuters reported.</p> <p>The Leabnese government is blaming Isarel for the pager blasts.
