A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period before the facts come out, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said in his response to The Sabarmati Report movie that released this Friday. The movie, starring Vikrant Massey of 12th fail and Mirzapur fame, captures the events leading to the 2002 train burning incident near Gujarat’s Godhra station. Fifty-nine passengers, many of them Hindu pilgrims travelling to Ayodhya to attend a religious event, died in the train fire that was later found to be an act of arson. A group of masked people dressed in black and carrying black flags with red swastikas marched through the Short North neighbourhood of Columbus in Ohio on Saturday afternoon, drawing swift condemnation from state and city officials. Canada’s 24-Hour Weekly Work Rule For Indian Students Comes Into Effect

Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, confirmed on Sunday that new rules for the International Student Programme have come into effect. The regulations include revised working hours for international students working off campus. Proposed earlier this year, eligible students can now work up to 24 hours per week outside campus during classroom sessions. Additionally, international students must apply for and receive approval for a new study permit before changing learning institutions. The minister stated that these changes align with efforts to strengthen the integrity of the International Student Programme. UP Cops Arrest Man Who Broke Into Homes To Hit Sleeping Women On Head

Police in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur have arrested a young man for allegedly breaking into homes at night and hitting sleeping women on the head. In five such incidents spread over four months, one woman died and four others were injured. The accused, Ajay Nishad, now faces multiple cases, including that of murder. Police have said Ajay Nishad faces a 2022 child abuse case and was in jail for six months. Out on bail, he lived in Surat for sometime before returning to Gorakhpur. His first night attack was on a July 30, when he entered a house, hit a woman on the head and fled with some jewellery.
