Madhya Pradesh is grappling with the terror of jackals. In Sehore district, two people were attacked by a jackal and left injured on Monday evening. The terrifying moment was captured on CCTV, which showed the jackal lunging at the two men while they were sitting on the roadside in the Sagonia Panchayat in Rehti tehsil. They tried to scare the jackal away by throwing stones at the animal, but failed. Then one of them grabbed the jackal and tossed it about 15 feet away, the video showed. <p>Delhi’s special NIA court grants interim bail to parliamentarian Rashid Engineer in connection with a terror funding case. The interim bail is granted till October 2, 2024, by the court, news agency ANI reported.</p>

<p>Around 40 people were killed and at least 60 others wounded in Israeli strikes on a designated safe zone in southern Gaza, the Hamas-run Civil Defence authority said on Tuesday. According to AFP, the strikes hit al-Mawasi in Gaza&rsquo;s main southern city of Khan Younis where tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians have been seeking refuge. Al-Mawasi had been designated a safe zone by the Israeli military early in the war.</p> <p>Meanwhile, the Israeli military said its aircraft targeted an operations centre in Khan Younis belonging to Hamas fighters.
