Biden Says Israel Should Consider Alternatives To Striking Iran Oil Fields

 President Joe Biden said on Friday he would think about alternatives to striking Iranian oil fields if he were in Israel’s shoes, adding he thinks Israel has not yet concluded how to respond to Iran. “The Israelis have not concluded what they are going to do in terms of a strike. Biden Says “I Don’t Know” If Election Will Be Peaceful

President Joe Biden said Friday he wasn’t confident the US election in November would be peaceful, due to previous comments by Republican contender Donald Trump. “I’m confident it will be free and fair. I don’t know whether it will be peaceful,” Biden told reporters as he made the first appearance of his presidency in the White House briefing room. “The things that Trump has said and the things that he said last time out when he didn’t like the outcome of the election were very dangerous.”

<p><strong>Patna/Muzaffarpur:</strong> The flood situation remained grim in Bihar on Friday though the water level has come down in several rivers, while a section of the affected people put up a road blockade in Muzaffarpur district alleging inadequate relief measures, officials said.</p> <p>More than 45 lakh people in 30 out of the total 38 districts of the state have been affected by the calamity in two phases since last month, according to the Disaster Management Department (DMD).</p> <p>Chief Minister Nitish Kumar initiated the process of transferring financial assistance of Rs 7,000 to the bank account of each flood-hit family.
