<p>Tata Group Chairman and veteran industrialist Ratan Tata passed away late on Wednesday night (October 9, 2024) at a hospital in Mumbai. He was 86 years old. A senior police official informed news agency PTI that Padma Vibhushan awardee Ratan Tata breathed his last around 11:30 pm at Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai. He had been admitted to the hospital for the past few days due to health concerns. <p>Ratan Naval Tata, veteran industrialist and Tata Group&rsquo;s chairman emeritus, passed away at a Mumbai hospital due to age-related health conditions. He was 86. The Padma Vibhushan awardee breathed his last at south Mumbai&rsquo;s Breach Candy Hospital at 11.30 pm on Wednesday. He had been in intensive care at the hospital since Monday. WATCH: Wrapped In Tricolour, Mortal Remains Of Ratan Tata Reach For Public Viewing

<p>The mortal remains of the Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons and recipient of India&rsquo;s second highest civilian honour, Padma Vibhushan, Ratan Tata, wrapped in the tricolour reached the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in south Mumbai. The mortal remains will be kept there for public viewing till 4 pm and the last rites will be performed in the Worli area of Mumbai later in the day.
