<p>Tata Group Chairman and veteran industrialist Ratan Tata passed away late on Wednesday night (October 9, 2024) at a hospital in Mumbai. He was 86 years old. A senior police official informed news agency PTI that Padma Vibhushan awardee Ratan Tata breathed his last around 11:30 pm at Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai. He had been admitted to the hospital for the past few days due to health concerns. <p>The mortal remains of the Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons and recipient of India&rsquo;s second highest civilian honour, Padma Vibhushan, Ratan Tata, wrapped in the tricolour reached the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in south Mumbai. The mortal remains will be kept there for public viewing till 4 pm and the last rites will be performed in the Worli area of Mumbai later in the day.
