More than 1,500 brand new scooters purchased so that meritorious girls from poor families could continue higher education are slowly turning to scrap in two colleges in Banswara in southern Rajasthan. Updates: Air India Express Flight Lands Safely After Facing Mid-Air Snag Near Trichy Airport

An Air India Express flight going from Tiruchirappalli to Sharjah has landed safely at the Tiruchirappalli airport after facing a hydraulic failure. The flight, which was scheduled to go to Sharjah, had 144 passengers aboard. Several ambulaces and rescue sevices were rushed to the aiport to prepare for any emergency. The flight was in the air for over two hours and landed safely at 8:14 pm at Trichy Airport. All passengers aboard are safe. Here are the updates:

After Mid-Air Scare, Air India Express Flight Lands Safely In Trichy

An Air India Express flight which reported a hydraulic failure shortly after take-off from the Tiruchirappalli airport in Tamil Nadu has landed safely. The flight, AXB 613, which was headed to Sharjah with 144 passengers on board, had taken off at 5.40 pm. After the snag was reported, the plane was asked to turn back, but because it was not advisable to attempt a precautionary landing with full fuel on board, the pilots burned some of it by flying around on a set path some distance from Tiruchirappalli. Swearing-In Ceremony Of New BJP Government To Be Held In Panchkula On 15 October

The swearing-in ceremony of the new BJP government in Haryana is likely to be held in Panchkula on October 15. Preparations are underway for the event in Panchkula, a senior official said on Friday. The official said a tentative date for the oath taking is October 15. “We are preparing the venue for the event,” Panchkula’s Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr Yash Garg told PTI over phone. A district level committee has also been formed under the DC’s chairmanship for making necessary arrangements for the oath ceremony. A week after a woman was allegedly raped by three men on Pune city’s outskirts, police have made the first arrest, officials said on Friday, a breakthrough coming after nearly 700 cops worked on the case and scanned hours of CCTV footage. The 21-year-old woman was allegedly raped by three unidentified men on Thursday (October 3) night in the Bopdev Ghat area where she had gone with a male friend.
