North Korea accused South Korea on Friday of sending drones to scatter a “huge number” of anti-North leaflets over its capital Pyongyang, in what it called a political and military provocation that could lead to armed conflict. Haryana: 7 Family Members Die As Car Plunges Into Canal En Route To Dussehra Fair In Kaithal

<p>An accident in Haryana’s Kaithal claimed the lives of seven family members, including three women and four girls, when their car fell into a canal near Mundri village on Saturday, according to police. The victims were on their way to the Baba Rajpuri Mela, held to mark the Dussehra festival.</p> <p>The police revealed that the vehicle, carrying nine people&mdash;eight from the same family&mdash;lost control, leading to the mishap, news agency PTI reported. The driver survived the incident, but seven occupants drowned. “Generic Letters, No Legal Value”: Bengal On ‘Mass Resignations’ By Doctors

The ‘mass resignations’ of senior doctors in support of their junior colleagues are generic letters and have no legal value, the West Bengal government said on Saturday. Junior doctors in the state have been staging protests since the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in August and some of them are also on a fast-unto-death.
