<p>The Chief Advisor to the interim government of Bangladesh, Muhammad Yunus, on Saturday visited the centuries-old Dhakeshwari temple in Dhaka to exchange greetings with the Hindu community on the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja. <p>United States forces carried out air strikes targeting multiple sites associated with the Islamic State group in Syria, as confirmed by the military on Saturday. Residents of a housing society in an Uttar Pradesh city were in for a shock when a crocodile found its way to their habitat, prompting an unusual call to police and forest officials. The incident was reported Saturday afternoon from Surya Vihar Society in Makdikheda. “Systematic Pattern Of Desecration”: India On Bangladesh Durga Puja Attack

India has written to Bangladesh’s interim government today expressing “serious concern” over multiple attacks on temples, shrines and puja mandaps or pandals. The attacks include incidents of desecration, vandalism, robbery and defacement. New Delhi, which has been keenly observing the way events are unfolding across Bangladesh since the political crisis in the neighbouring country, said that there has been a systemic pattern in these attack.
