“Unheard In Democratic System”: Poll Panel On Congress’ Haryana Remark

The Election Commission on Wednesday dubbed the ‘Haryana results unacceptable’ statement of senior Congress leaders as “unheard in the rich democratic heritage” of the country and far from a legitimate part of free speech. In a letter to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, the Election Commission or EC said such remarks by party leaders Jairam Ramesh and Pawan Khera move towards “an undemocratic rejection of the will of the people” expressed in accordance with the statutory and regulatory electoral framework. 6 Injured After Being Stabbed In “Terror Attack” In Israel

At least six people were wounded, two of them seriously, in a stabbing attack in the Israeli city of Hadera on Wednesday, Israeli authorities said. “The terrorist has been neutralized,” police said in a statement. “Four separate locations have been identified, resulting in six victims with stab wounds.” The police did not immediately provide other details, but issued a brief video of the suspected attacker being arrested.
