<p><strong>Northeast Monsoon news:</strong> The India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced the onset of the Northeast Monsoon over southeast peninsular India on October 15, 2024. In conjunction with a well-marked low-pressure area over the southern Bay of Bengal, the IMD has forecast isolated extremely heavy rainfall across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and South Interior Karnataka from October 15 to 17, while Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra Pradesh are likely to witness heavy rains on October 15 and 16.</p> <p>In a bulletin on Tuesday, IMD said, “Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from the entire country today, the 15th October 2024.
