Three Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLAs who jumped to the Congress and were served with disqualification notices gained relief Friday after the Telangana High Court stayed a single-judge bench’s September order directing the Speaker to settle this issue within four weeks. A bench of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice J Sreenivas Rao said no such deadline could be set, but asked Speaker Gaddam Kumar to rule on the matter within “reasonable time”.
