Australia Sends Its First Combat Aircraft Deployment In India For ‘Tarang Shakti’ Exercise

<p>The Royal Australian Air Force has sent its first deployment of combat aircraft to India to participate in the second phase of ‘Tarang Shakti’, a multinational exercise which is being held at the Air Force Station Jodhpur from August 30 to September 13. Netflix India has updated the opening disclaimer on its web series ‘IC-814 Kandahar Hijack” to include the real and code names of the hijackers, the OTT giant’s country content chief, Monika Shergill, said Tuesday. “For the benefit of audiences unfamiliar with the 1999 hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814, the opening disclaimer has been updated… the code names in the series reflect those used during the actual event,” Ms Shergill said, acknowledging also that Netflix is “committed to showcasing (stories from India) with authentic representation”. Karnataka, which is witnessing its worst dengue outbreak in a decade, has declared the disease an epidemic. As part of the measures, the state government will levy penalties if rules meant for the curtailment of mosquito breeding sites are not followed in houses, commercial establishments and construction sites. The state has seen a surge in dengue cases with the number for this year crossing 24,500, which is nearly 5,000 more than the total number of cases reported for all of 2023.
