Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Kisan Wing President Tarlochan Singh alias DC was shot dead in Punjab’s Khanna on Monday evening, police said. The 56-year-old leader, who hailed from Ikolaha village, was returning home from his farm when unidentified assailants shot him.  The leader’s body was found lying on the roadside and his son brought him to the nearby hospital along with the help of locals. Doctors at the hospital declared him dead. Mr Singh’s son Harpreet Singh has alleged murder has been committed due to enmity. Superintendent of Police (SP) Saurav Jindal said that the police is investigating the case from every angle. “The accused will be traced and arrested,” he said.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to release the scorecards for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate medical entrance test (NEET PG) 2024 today. Once released, candidates will be able to check the score cards for 50 per cent All India Quota Seats on the official website of MCC.  The board had announced the NEET PG results on August 23, 2024. The exam was conducted on August 11. The release of separate scorecards for All India Quota seats were scheduled to be released on September 10, 2024.  The NBEMS had earlier notified that the board will not issue copy of scorecards to individual candidates. Former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has dismissed concerns around Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Russia visit, saying that the US can’t hold India to a loyalty test every five minutes.
