163 Kg Employee Sues Company For Over Rs 38 Crore, Says Desk Too Small

A New York Public Library employee, weighing 163 kg, has filed a lawsuit seeking $4.6 million in damages, alleging that being forced to work at an inadequately sized desk caused him physical and emotional trauma. William Martin, a 6-foot-2 library information assistant, claimed the desk at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library on Fifth Avenue was too small for his frame.  In a lawsuit filed in Brooklyn Federal Court, he described the first-floor service desk as “crampy” due to its swaying countertop with a 12-inch drop. “All I sought was just a service desk with the appropriate accommodation given my physical attributes,” Mr Martin said in his legal filing, as per the NY Post. Huawei Aims 1,00,000 Apps On Harmony OS Within A Year To Make China Self-Reliant Amid US Sanctions

<p>Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei which has been blacklisted by US recently said that it is targeting 1,00,000 applications for Harmony OS (Operating System) within a year to achieve self-reliance. 2 More Babies Die, Deaths In UP Hospital Fire Rises To 17

Two more infants rescued from a fire that ripped through the Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College here have died, taking the total toll in the fire to 17, a senior official said on Sunday. Thirty-nine newborns were rescued from a devastating fire in the medical college hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit on the night of November 15. Dr Narendra Singh Sengar, the medical college’s principal, told PTI that of the 39 infants rescued, two more died on Saturday. While 10 babies died on the night of the fire, the remainder succumbed to their “illnesses”, he said.
