Delhi schools faced another wave of bomb threats on Friday morning (December 13), with emails sent to institutions like East of Kailash DPS, Salwan School, Modern School, and Cambridge School. The Delhi Police and Fire Department launched immediate investigations but found nothing suspicious so far. Bomb threats have become a recurring issue in the city, with anonymous emails and calls causing panic. Earlier, on December 9, around 40 schools received similar threats, prompting administrations to send students home as a precaution. Although all these threats have been hoaxes, security agencies remain on high alert. The December 9 email included a $3,000 ransom demand, with claims that the bombs were undetectable. Compounding concerns, Delhi has witnessed two low-intensity blasts in recent months, one near a CRPF school in Rohini on October 20 and another in Prashant Vihar in late November. While the motive behind these threats and incidents remains unclear, they have raised significant concerns about Delhi’s security preparedness.
