Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav is unhappy with the latest seating arrangement in the Lok Sabha. Ayodhya MP Awadhesh Prasad, who sat alongside Yadav in the front row, has been shifted to the second row of the Parliament.

Akhilesh is reportedly upset with the Congress for not consulting him about the changes made to the seating arrangement. The Samajwadi Party had demanded the two front-row seats for Akhilesh Yadav and Awadhesh Prasad. However, only one seat was allocated to the INDIA bloc ally, which went to the SP chief.

The SP was expecting Congress to consult the seat allocation arrangement with the allies before informing the Speaker. As per the latest arrangement, the Ayodhya MP has been shifted to the second row along with Mainpuri MP and Akhilesh Yadav’s wife Dimple Yadav.

The dissatisfaction among the opposition parties has been seen as the reason behind the absence of Samajwadi Party MPs from the recent opposition protests in Parliament.

Responding to the change in seating plan, Adyodhya MP Awadhesh Prasad said, “Akhilesh Ji has always given me respect and allowed me to sit beside him. Currently, when he is not at his seat, I sit there with his permission.”

He said that there would be a meeting with the Lok Sabha Speaker and expressed hope that he would be allotted a seat in the first row.

Meanwhile, DMK leader TR Baalu has also requested the Congress to assign him a front-row seat next to Rahul Gandhi.
