<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah watched the practical application of three laws in Chandigarh on Tuesday. The three new criminal laws—Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam— replaced the British-era Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, and Indian Evidence Act, respectively on July 1.</p>

<p>During the programme, a live demonstration highlighted how newly introduced digital platforms such as e-Sakshya, Nyay Setu, Nyay Shruti, and e-Summons have streamlined law enforcement, judicial procedures, and evidence management. The event included simulating a crime scene investigation to showcase their practical applications.</p>
