Maharashtra: NCP Leader Baba Siddique Shot Dead Outside Son Zeeshan’s Office In Mumbai, 2 Held

<p><strong>Maharashtra News:</strong> Nationalist Congress Party’s senior leader Baba Siddique was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Saturday. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Two people related to the firing have been taken into custody, Mumbai Police informed, as per news agency ANI. Security has been tightened outside the Mumbai hospital.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to news agency PTI, an unidentified person fired at Baba Siddiqui of the Ajit Pawar-led NCP in Mumbai’s Bandra East on Saturday evening. The firing took place outside his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui’s office near Colgate ground in Nirmal Nagar, a police official told PTI.</p>

<p>Addressing the media, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde informed that two accused arrested are from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana while a manhunt is underway to arrest a third assailant. He assured strict action in the matter.</p>
