Saudi Arabia’s Holy Mosques Condemn Yati Narsinghanand’s Inflammatory Speech: ‘Stop Elements That Create…’

<p>Saudi Arabia’s two holy mosques on Friday issued a statement condemning the inflammatory speech of controversial Mahant Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati.</p>
<p>The news publication of the Holy Mosques in Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia called upon the international organisation to stop elements that create communal tension and called for steps to be taken to prevent to promote religious harmony and prevent Islamophobia.&nbsp;</p>
<p>In a statement on Facebook, the Haramain Sharifain, said, “Harmain Sharifain strongly condemns the blasphemy of the Prophet Mohammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon Him) committed by a priest of India and calls upon international organizations to stop elements that create communal tension and take steps to prevent the spread of Islamophobia and promote religious harmony.”</p>
<p>In a video, that is viral on social media platforms, Yati Narsinghanand can be heard abusing Prophet Muhammad. There have been protests in parts of the country, including Jammu and Kashmir and Hyderabad.&nbsp;</p>
<p>An FIR was also registered against Mahant Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati on Thursday for delivering an inflammatory speech at an event held on September 29 in Ghaziabad. As per initial reports, the controversial Mahant has been detained on Saturday.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Narsinghanand is accused of hurting the religious sentiments of people from other communities. The case against Narsinghanand was registered under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code on the complaint of Trivendra Singh, a police officer at Sihani Gate police station, for hurting religious sentiments.&nbsp;</p>
