Bahraich’s Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Ajit Pratap Singh, stated, “The wolf was captured in about an hour to an hour and a half. It was caught without the help of a drone because the wolves would run away upon seeing the drone. At present, one wolf is still on the loose, and efforts are ongoing to capture it.” Singh explained the challenges faced in using drones during the operation, as the presence of drones would cause the wolves to flee. He further emphasized that the forest department is actively working to capture the remaining wolf while ensuring the safety of the local population. The operation has required a combination of strategic planning and on-ground efforts, highlighting the complexity of wildlife management in the region.
