Delhi Election: Parvesh Verma to File Nomination, Distributes Shoes After Temple Visit

<p>BJP leader Parvesh Verma will file his nomination for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections today. After performing prayers at a temple, Verma engaged with his supporters by distributing shoes, symbolizing his connection with the public.The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled for February 5, with the vote count taking place on February 8. Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar announced the schedule, urging voters to participate actively. With 1.55 crore registered voters, including 2.08 lakh first-time voters, the elections are poised for intense competition.A total of 13,033 polling stations will be set up across 2,697 locations, with 210 model polling stations and 70 women-run polling booths. The election commission aims to ensure smooth operations with 100% webcasting for real-time monitoring. The key contest will be between AAP, BJP, and Congress, with AAP aiming to retain its majority in the 70-seat Delhi Assembly, where 36 seats are needed for a majority.</p>
