In preparation for the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, the state-run UPSRTC has ramped up its bus services. Buses are now available from nearly all depots across the state for devotees heading to the Kumbh Mela. An exciting new provision has been introduced: if residents of a neighborhood or village are planning to attend the Kumbh together, two individuals from their group can travel for free. Additionally, among the 50 travelers, one person will be designated as the leader. This leader will coordinate the travel arrangements, ensuring the bus picks up passengers from their locality and drops them off at designated spots at the Kumbh site. This initiative is aimed at easing travel and making the experience more accessible for pilgrims.
