Terrorism Revival In J&K A Plot To Overthrow Omar Govt? BJP Replies To Farooq Abdullah’s Charge

National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Saturday alleged that the terrorist attack in Budgam was a conspiracy to overthrow the Omar Abdullah government.

On Friday, two labourers from Uttar Pradesh were shot at by terrorists in Budgam district. Sufiyan and Usman were taken to a hospital where their condition was said to be stable.

Abdullah said that the terrorists involved in the act should not be killed but rather questioned as to who was behind the attack.

”It should be investigated. How is it that the government has come and this is happening? I have a doubt that is it done by the people who were trying to destabilise the government,” Abdullah said to ANI.

”.If they (terrorists) are caught then we will get to know who is doing this. They should not be killed, they should be caught and asked who is behind them…We should check if there is an agency who is trying to destabilise Omar Abdullah…,” he added.

Responding to the allegations, Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that after coming to power Omar Abdullah would have understood “how anti-national forces are working in the country.”

”I would also expect that now the Omar Abdullah government will work with the Modi government in eliminating such anti-national forces,” he said while addressing a press conference at party headquarters in New Delhi.

Jammu Kashmir Former Deputy CM and BJP leader Kavinder Gupta claimed “There are some people here who are working as per the instructions of Pakistan, this is a cowardly attack on a festive occasion.”

”This is wrong…there is a need to identify people who are carrying out these attacks. There are so many people here who still work as Over Ground Workers and Underground Workers…,” he added.
